We are seeking to recruit a part-time Swimming Coach to join our team at PASCAL Private Secondary School Lefkosia.

Requirements

• Deliver high-quality coaching and instructional sessions in the area of expertise (e.g. Swimming) to pupils enrolled in the Athletic Section of the school

• Demonstrate thorough knowledge of the annual training plan and deliver well-prepared, structured, and engaging training sessions 

• Manage pupil-athletes throughout the sessions, ensuring adherence to school rules, expectations, and standards of behaviour

• Prepare the training facilities, equipment, or lecture room prior to the arrival of pupil-athletes, ensuring a safe and organised learning environment

• Ensure that all sports equipment is used safely, maintained appropriately, and stored correctly after each training session

• Accompany pupil-athletes to competitions and represent the school professionally at all external events

• Immediately report any incidents, concerns, accidents, or injuries to the Head of the Athletic Section

• Support the wider school programme by delivering club sessions and other extracurricular activities as requested by the Clubs Coordinator

• Accurately record pupil-athletes' attendance and absences on the electronic register before the start of each training session or immediately after its completion

• Actively participate in regular meetings with the Head of the Athletic Section for planning and coordination purposes

• Maintain excellent standards of punctuality, professionalism, and personal appearance in accordance with the school's policies and expectations

• Foster a positive, inclusive, and motivating environment that promotes teamwork, discipline, sportsmanship, and respect among pupil-athletes

• Undertake any other duties and responsibilities reasonably assigned by the school management


Minimum qualifications 

• Undergraduate Degree in Physical Education Studies or a similar field, which is recognised by The Cyprus Council of Recognition of Higher Education Qualifications (KY.S.A.T.S.)

• Excellent command of the English language

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
